With work and education experience in the engineering/architectural and design fields for almost 20 years now Independence Design is very aware of the evolution of engineering and design work flows from manual drafting to the latest in 3D Design BIM management and intelligent modeling systems (IMS). This evolutionary knowledge is critical in helping consult companies and individuals how to integrate this time and money saving work process during the various stages that they may currently be in. Just setting up a system and expecting individuals to start working without helping them to adjust from their normal work habits and show them the real benefits will not end with success. For the past 10 years I have been utilizing BIM methodologies and software’s long before it became a buzzword. I have a strong foundation in basic AutoCad and the original methodologies that became the foundations for Autodesks BIM platforms. My most recent experience has centered around the engineering, design, and construction of Natural Gas processing plants utilizing multiple platforms including Autodesk Plant Design 3D, Revit Structural, Autodesk Civil, Cadworx Plant Design Suite, AutoPlant, Isogen, 3D manufacturing software, CNC programing, and others. Ind Dsg has expert ability to optimize BIM plans to suite a specific company’s needs for success and not just white wash them with software that ends up creating more work with no specific end result. There are a lot of cool new things that can be done with BIM but not all are suited for every project. Optimized Process Designs– After having a pivotal role in their extremely successful use of 3D design software from the very beginning, Independence Design was sought out to help them fix difficulties with a transition to CadWorx 2015. Independence Design successfully revamped their specs, pipe supports, converted a custom instrument library to assemblies, and trained an admin to roll out the changes into Cadworx 2016.
